AN IMPROV EVERYWHERE STUNT
The iconic glass cube at the Apple Store on Fifth Avenue was closed for renovations, so we found a doppelgänger location to host the launch of the latest iPhone– a subway station elevator.
My partner, Deanna Director, and I brought the idea to Improv Everywhere, and together, we opened the Fake Apple Store at the 23rd Street Subway in NYC.
In less than a week, the video had over 10 Million views on YouTube and got press on several news stations. And more importantly, we learned that when you wear a yellow construction vest, you can get away with just about anything.
